Built by people who sit through closings
We build auction software because we have spent years in valuation and marketplace software, and a lot of hours in salerooms watching the work actually happen. Here is who builds it, who backs it, and what runs on it today.
How we work
You will always talk to the people who build it
The person who demos the platform is the person who writes it and the person who answers when a sale is closing. There is no account manager in between, and no first-line support reading from a script.
For a house running weekly sales, that is the difference that shows up on a bad Thursday afternoon. One number that picks up, that knows what a hammer is, and that can change the thing you are calling about. You get that number and that calendar before the first demo is over.
It is also why the details are right. The invoice layout, the settlement statement, the item-number continuity and the margin-scheme booking are shaped the way they are because working houses and their own accountants went through them line by line and told us what to change.
Today
Running weekly sales right now
Bastionen Auktioner in Copenhagen, Denmark runs weekly hybrid sales on the platform, on their own domain and under their own brand.
The people
Two founders, and a board that has built before
Founder-led works when you know which founders. Here they are, and here is the board they answer to.
Andreas Nylander
Co-founder · product and engineering
Andreas designs the platform and writes most of what ships, which is why the person demoing it can answer a question about the VAT posting without going away to ask. He spent the years before this building valuation and marketplace software, and he still takes the call when a sale is closing.
Emil Köpcke
Co-founder · commercial
Emil runs the commercial side: pricing, partnerships, and the first conversation with a house that is thinking about moving. He is usually the one who has visited your saleroom, sat through a closing, and come back with the list of things that would have to change.
The board
Four seats: the two of us, and two investors who joined because they have built and scaled businesses before. They see the same numbers we do, which means a decision that would be convenient for us has to survive somebody else first.
